I want to express my gratitude to Brett Dooley, the sales consultant who worked with me over the past few weeks, culminating in my purchase of a Mazda5 on Monday afternoon.  Due to nerve injuries received in serious auto accidents in 1979 and 1991, I have a very complicated and difficult time selecting a new car.  At many dealerships around the region, I have over the years encountered salespeople who can’t really empathize or understand the issues I permanently face. That adds to the frustration and indecision that accompanies an expensive commitment to purchase a brand new vehicle.

 

Brett spent a lot of time with me during four separate visits to your dealership. He allowed me extra time to test drive a used model that was exactly like the model I chose to purchase.  That flexibility was the key ingredient in my decision to buy the Mazda5.  All of this was in addition to his kind, polite, efficient and professional demeanor.  I am so pleased that Brett was my sales consultant and would recommend him and your dealership to my family and friends, especially those who need extra TLC.

 

And by the way, I am very favorably impressed so far by what I have seen in the building and on the property, and by the tour I had with Brett after the purchase, so that I could be completely familiar with your business.  Please share my comments with Brett and with John Hine.  Congratulations on your high standards.  In this economy, all of that matters a great deal, no pun intended!!!!

Even when I wasn-t entirely sure I wanted the car, he didn-t have an annoyed attitude like I-ve experienced at other dealerships. Also would like to mention Crystal Caldwell from Finance. Arien, this is for you!  I just bought my CPO Mazda3 s Grand Touring Hatchback a few days ago and I LOVE IT!  After walking away from a not so great experience at another Mazda dealer in National City (you know the one!) I decided just to stop by Hine Mazda to see what the inventory was.  There in the lot was my perfect car, and already stickered at a fantastic steal of a price!  I initially was going to get a brand new Mazda3 sport, but getting a one year old CPO that is fully loaded for the same price...seriously...can you say A-W-E-S-O-M-E?!

My husband and I had plans so we couldn't stay long.  Arien kept it brief, showed me the car, and gave me his card.  I told him I'd be back the next day for a test drive.  The next afternoon Arien was ready for me when I got there and we took the car for a spin.  When we got back he further pointed out all of the goodies and explained the warranty and services.  I drove away in the exact car that I wanted and I got a fantastic deal.  Since I came prepared the process was pretty quick and easy, and thank you for waiting patiently while I added my new car to our insurance policy.

Thank you Arien for sharing my NO B.S. approach to car buying and thank you for not wasting my time with car dealer jackassery.  You acted like a normal person, you took the time to answer all my questions truthfully, and I loved your easy going personality.  I'm very glad that you're the guy I happened to run into in the lot because this was an excellent car buying experience.  Mr. Hine, give the new guy a bonus.  ;)

Also, Crystal in finance, you're a doll.  You showed genuine excitement for me knowing that I had just bought my perfect car.  You were friendly and personable and made all that contract signing actually enjoyable.  Mr. Hine, bonus for Crystal too.  :)

I have always been skeptical of dealerships and pushy dealers. I spent about a month shopping around for a car and went to several dealerships. I can honestly say that Arturo at the San Diego John Hine Mazda dealership was by far the best dealer I have ever met! We communicated for a couple of weeks via text- which was so perfect for my schedule. He was never pushy and always very quick and thorough. I love my new car and working with Arturo made me love the process of buying it!

I just moved to San Diego from Florida. I went to John Hine to get my vehicle worked on and Mike Hill helped me out. He was great, after the technician got my vehicle to fix my check engine light I got a phone call from Chris Congini asking me some questions, I had never had a technician call within a hour or 2 asking me a few questions, Chris asked me a few questions about when my car was acting up because he could not get it to act up. I explained when it was acting up and a few other things. 30 minutes later the technican called me back and explained what was happening, he said it was caused by bad fuel, which made sence, after I filled up the problem occured. The technician was real professional and explained what to do were it wouldnt cost me alot of money to fix it...they just charged me that basic diagnosis charge and I did what Chris said, my car was running fine after i filled up with a full tank of gas and a few miles of driving...thanks Mike and Chris!!!

I had an excellent experience with John Hine Mazda!

My car needed extensive repairs and didn't know a thing about wether it was covered or not. As soon as I arrived at the dealership everyone was a s nice as apple pie. I was greeted the moment I arrived.

Mary Jackson took extra good care of me she almost wanted to give the shirt on her back. She made sure I was informed of every step that was being done as I asked her (because I was afraid of the repair bill) with my car and what was being found, covered or not. She called me everytime she found she got news from the service department. I was extra lucky because everything was covered under the Mazda warranty and my car isn't even new. So  even though all the extensive repair was covered and I thought they might not treat me as a on the spot paying customer, well I was wrong like i said they went the xtra mile the whole time. Smiles everywhere and super courteous service.

Even when i walked in to the lobby to wait for a shuttle service I was greeted by someone there. And GET THIS they have 3 computers with public internet (which I quickly latched on to) and an awesome little vending machine that makes you your favorite cup of java from simple black coffee to a delish mocha, your pick.
And I even got my car washed and vacuumed both times I've been there and delivered super shiny! i swear my car has never that clean and shiny. :) I also have to give a shout out to Marco the shuttle service guy. Thanks Marco! and MAry!! I'll definitely be back and recommend you.

My service writer, Mary Jackson, as always was efficient and helpful and was especially accommodating with this service as my vehicle is in the body shop and the two appointments were simultaneous due to an unfortunate hit and run incident with my car. Mary coordinated the service appointment with Alex in the body shop and saved me a lot of extra time and planning to facilitate both. When my car was damaged I never considered any other location for repair. John Hine may no longer be a Pontiac dealer but the dealership is always my number one choice for repairs and service to my car.

For the service department. I am just writing to tell of the absolutely wonderful service I had at your service department. Usually people complain a lot, but my experience was as close to perfect as possible. I was in town from Tucson, AZ nad my car broke down on the day my family and I were going to go to Sea World and drive home. We got our car in at 8:45 with Corky Weeks, who worked diligently with us to get our car and us taken care of in a timely manner. Everything he stated came true, there was no waiting past the time for our car, the shuttle took us to and from Sea World and we were out on the road back to Tucson by 3:30 with new front wheel bearings and brakes. Mr. Morris,

My wife and I spent over 4 months researching and test driving cars in our

search for a new car. To be honest, Mazda was not on top of our list. Maybe

because of lack of advertising, word of mouth or popularity. After test

driving the Sonata, Camry, Accord, Galant and Kia, we said that the Mazda 6

got good review on the internet and wanted to give it a shot. By far it was

the best ride of all the cars. It was sporty and fun yet secure drive to it.

The handling was far superior than the other models and yet the price was

similar.

 

We were turned off by some of the other dealers by their aggressive tactics.

We were shock that when we pulled up to your dealership, we were able to

browse the cars for a good 15 mins before anyone approached us. This made us

feel comfortable, especially since we didn't know what we wanted. After

about 15 minutes along comes Travis Sanoski.. Being sceptical, I was waiting

for something negative to say about him. Quite to the contrary. Travis was

very professional and easy going. He made us feel comfortable and didn't try

to push anything on us. He let test drive different models and was very up

to date on the features in the cars. He did his homework!

 

Bottom line, Mazda clearly is the leader in style and afforadability. There

are cars for every class of people, old or young. My 14 year old son even

said these cars are cool! You don't get that reaction for a Honda or Toyota.

I am truely glad my wife and I came into your dealership. Thanks to all the

people who helped us and special thanks to Travis. Keep up the good work and

we will definatley spread the work to family and friends about John Hine

Mazda. Thanks Again.

I just want to let you know that this is THIRD car I've leased from John Hine and I hope I never have to go anywhere else for a car! An e mail to the Costco Auto Buying Specialist...

 

We spoke a few weeks ago about my family's terrible experience at (another dealer) & you referred us to John Hine Mazda because I said we wouldn't go back to (that other dealer).  After recovering from our first experience, we finally approached John Hine this past weekend.  So far our experience has been a night & day difference and we're very satisfied with Brent at John Hine.  It's quite likely that we'll be purchasing within the next week or so, so I'm cautiously optimistic that all will continue to go well.

 

When we spoke I told you that our experience with (the other dealer) was not what I would consider a "Costco quality" experience.  I just wanted you to know that so far our experience with John Hine has been much more what we had hoped for.

We drove home from John Hine this evening with our new Mazda5. Brent & Michael made the car buying process easy & pleasant, and we were very satisfied with our experience there.  I thank you for referring us to John Hine and I would encourage Costco to direct other buyers to this dealership rather than (the other dealer).  If we had been sent there initially it would have saved us time and a great deal of frustration.  In my opinion, (the other dealer) is not up to your standards.

His work along with the manager made a huge difference in my perception of John Hine & Mazda in general. I've been a loyal John Hine dealership customer since I moved to San Diego four years ago.
