Help Save Lives By Slow Down & Moving Over

When you see emergency vehicles on the side of the road with their emergency flashers on do you slow down or move into the other lane? If not chances are you're not familiar with Slow Down or Move Over laws. These laws which are in effect in all 50 states require drivers to merge into the other lane when passing emergency vehicles on the roadside that have their emergency flashers on.

In cases where you're unable to merge into the other lane, you are required by law to slow down to 15 miles below the posted speed limit. These laws help to ensure the safety of law enforcement officers, ambulance drivers, tow truck drivers, and other emergency workers on American highways.

Since 1997 over 150 law enforcement officers have lost their lives after being struck by cars on highways. This is in addition to the 200 other emergency workers who lose their lives every year simply trying to do their duties on the roadside. If you know someone who may not know about these laws the team here at [dealers name] hope that you will share this information with them and help us save lives!
